A Holiday Movie for the Family

Looking for a movie that everyone can see? We took the crew to see Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller on Monday. This movie can only be described as fun. It is rated PG and can be a bit scary for those who would be afraid of Tyrannosaurus Rex bones running around, or offensive for those bothered by a bit of monkey tee-tee. That under 5 or 6 crowd…well, it’s your call.

But the rest of us were entertained. It was fast-moving, funny, adventurous and even got in a couple of history lessons. And the star power in the cast is worth the trip, too – Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson (who is a riot), Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney (or that little old guy as my nephew described him). LuLu (child of short attention span) never ONCE asked when the movie was going to be over. Translation: It never hit a lull!

Not necessarily an award-winner or a classic like Charlotte’s Web, Night at the Movies is just two hours of family fun. And get the popcorn…it’s the holidays…who’s counting calories!
