I didn’t know it was effective and could be given to boys. My kids docs are normally good about making sure they get all needed vaccines but this one was never mentioned to me. I will be asking about it.

It is also recommended for adolescent males — greatly reducing the risk of their passing a virus to the female partner. I plan to have my son vaccinated when he is twelve. NOT to encourage sex, but to make sure that he protects potential partners as much as possible.

For those of who don’t like vaccinations in general, a new vaccination that doesn’t really guarantee anything doesn’t really strike our fancy.
