Certainly everyone's entitled to their opinion. I've heard from several parents who just knowing what it's about have decided not to go. I've heard from others who enjoyed it and their kids it enjoyed it as well. I haven't heard directly from anyone whose children had negative reactions. I've heard reports of that, but nothing from the parents themselves.

My family fits into the "enjoyed" it category. The adoption them went right over the head of my 6 year old. My 8 year old enjoyed it as well. If either of them were to have a reaction, I'd have expected it to be him.

I don't know... I didn't see how it was completely offensive... It's a movie aimed and children, so you really can't show the REALITIES, and no movie will satisfy everyone.

(Plus, if he had contacted his birth mother in the past, that might have messed up the space-time continuum more, but in the future though, that's a different story)
I get more frustrated with some of these articles in newspapers I've seen. But, everyone has a different interpretation when it comes to things.

The Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute put out a statement today calling for Disney to meet with it to talk about "the potentially negative impact" of the movie. You can read the press release here:

Aw. That's sweet! I saw that movie yesterday and thought the lead character was so COOL! He knew about machines and stuff. My review of it can be read on the adoption forum.
I think it's somewhere on the Russian forum but i posted it so many places, I don't remember all of them. I thought it was a delightful movie and I loved the huge train and the dinosaur and mini bowler hat.
